Didcot Power Station is located on a 300 acres (1.2 km2) site, formerly part of the Ministry of Defence Central Ordnance Depot. National Power own this site. They also fund the Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre, where the site was photographed from.

Greenpeace claim Didcot Power Station is the second most polluting in Britain after Drax in Yorkshire, whilst Friends of the Earth describe it as the ninth worst in the UK. Source - wikipedia
