The Joint European Torus (JET), located at Culham in Oxfordshire, is the world’s largest fusion research machine. JET is operated by UKAEA under a contract from EURATOM under the terms of the European Fusion Development Agreement (EFDA) which covers the costs of the operational programme.

Sensitive facility due to its nuclear capabilities, Overt Researchers will find there are significant levels of security. However, the facility does conduct tours and is interested in discussion of research in an open manner.
