The regions large skill base has attracted organisations at the forefront of research and development, and fast-track companies are expected to use The Oxford Science Park as the ideal catalyst for business start-up. More than 530,000 sq ft of office and laboratory space is completed. This includes approx. 100,000 sq ft recently completed comprising, Fletcher House, Winchester House, the Sadler Building (a new amenity building) and a new building for Nominet, the internet registry for .uk domain names.
The Oxford Science Park is on private land, and there is significant if discreet security. Photography is of course permitted from public roads, but photography without permission inside the park itself will not be tolerated, as we discovered. The few photographs here were taken before we were ejected from the site and were able to establish the exact nature of the research and extent of usage of the facilities and buildings.
